The Instrumental Music program at Villa Park High School is proud to include a dynamic, innovative, imaginative and exciting Color Guard program. Performing throughout the year, the Guard adds visual excitement and dance interpretation to the music of the Marchin’ Spartans. By incorporating rifles, flags, scarves, and dance, the Color Guard compliments the Marchin’ Spartans as a visual effect in field shows and parades.
During the spring semester, the Guard perfects and performs an independent competitive routine that showcases their equipment execution and dance skills. Detailed choreography highlights the Color Guard component of the program and adds substantially to the total performance package.
