(February 17, 2014) Indio, CA - The VPHS Marchin' Spartans did it again --  this time, sweeping all three categories of musical competition among the 5 bands competing for top overall performance, drum major, and color guard.  Although the VPHS Drum & Bugle corps took first place in each area, all of the bands performed very well out in the desert sun as the crowd cheered along the parade to kick-off the 68th annual Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival.  It was a hot day in Indio along the parade route, but the sunshine against the blue sash of VP uniforms looked spectacular.  If you were not able to attend in person, we're sorry but the internet hasn't evolved enough to satisfy your craving for a cold date shake; however, at least you can enjoy the band's award-winning performance captured just for you to watch over and over!
