(August 19, 2014) Villa Park, CA - The Villa Park High School Marchin' Spartans welcome families to the new school year of 2014-2015.  A preview of the field show music was presented during a 30 min demonstration of the Band's upcoming reportoire.  Thanks to everyone who attended, and the ones who didn't ...here is a short video of the highlights.

(June 8, 2014) Aliso Viejo, CA - Soli Symphonies premiered their Symphonic Orchestra with the skills of wind and percussion instrumentals from Villa Park High School.  A joint performance of the finest strings combined with the best from VPHS resulted in a spectacular performance of the classics before a live audience.  This is truly the start of something wonderful in our midst, so enjoy a taste of what the future will bring to Orange County's excellence in musical performing arts.

(May 29, 2014) - Villa Park, CA - The graduating seniors of 2013-14 were honored during the final concert of the year for the VPHS Instrumental Music program.  Fourty individuals from Orchestra, Jazz, Drum Corps, Symphonic, and Drum & Bugle celebrated their last performance as VPHS seniors.  Even though it's not Halloween, we were treated to special performances from several ensembles.   Here is a sample of the evening's highlights from the back of the room.

(March 28, 2014) Villa Park, CA - Many of you have seen the blockbuster shows of Jaws, Jurrasic Park, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Back to the Future, Disney's Mary Poppins, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and are fans of hit TV series like Star Trek, Mash, Hogan's Heros, Hawaii Five-O, and cartoons like Looney Tunes, and the Flinstones.   If you are familiar with any of these, you've probably heard the name of John Williams - world-famous musical composer, and naturally one of the featured artists whose music is performed by VPHS musicians in the 2014 tribute to your favorite Hollywood hits.  With a projection of each theme on the big screen, you will see and hear the classics, theater musicals, and some "X-gen" video game themes including The Elder Scrolls, and Halo -- all mixed together to delight your senses in this one-of-a-kind performance.  So, grab your bag of buttery-fresh hot popcorn, ice cold drink, sugary snow caps and enjoy the show!

(March 12, 2014) Villa Park, CA - If last night's performance was only a small taste, the next few nights are going to be a blast as the VPHS Drama & Instrumental Music programs combine talents to perform the hit musical "Grease" on stage in the PAC auditorium.  Starting last night through this Saturday evening, you can feast on the sights and sounds of the 50's as the dancers, singers, and musicians bring this hit musical to life before your very eyes.  After you get a glimpse from opening night, we're sure you'll want to put on your bobby-socks, hippity-hop on down to VPHS, and get your $10 ticket to experience this amazing performance in person!

(February 17, 2014) Indio, CA - The VPHS Marchin' Spartans did it again --  this time, sweeping all three categories of musical competition among the 5 bands competing for top overall performance, drum major, and color guard.  Although the VPHS Drum & Bugle corps took first place in each area, all of the bands performed very well out in the desert sun as the crowd cheered along the parade to kick-off the 68th annual Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival.  It was a hot day in Indio along the parade route, but the sunshine against the blue sash of VP uniforms looked spectacular.  If you were not able to attend in person, we're sorry but the internet hasn't evolved enough to satisfy your craving for a cold date shake; however, at least you can enjoy the band's award-winning performance captured just for you to watch over and over!

(December 17, 2014) Yorba Linda, CA - The VPHS Jazz Combo welcomed guests at the Nixon Library as they awaited guest speaker and former United States Speaker fo the House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich.  The East Room was filled to capacity on the cool winter night, as the crowed was warmed-up to the sounds of smooth jazz that filled the air.  The band was hopping through a number of festive holiday and and classic tunes -- some of which were captured in here.  If you ever have a chance to see them in person, you won't want to miss the Combo performance!

(February 4, 2014) Villa Park, CA - If you haven't been to a VPHS Varsity boys basketball game, you are missing quite a show.  The team was fantastic on Feb 4th -- beating Brea's top-team in overtime.  The VPHS Drum & Bugle corps were there to cheer them on the whole time, including a special treat a halftime.  Watch the performance if you were not able to make it in person.

(Dec 12, 2013) Villa Park, CA - If you are not quite ready for the Christmas season, here's a spirited performance from the artists in the VPHS Instrumental Music program that will certainly put you in a joyful mood.  If you've been driving around the neighborhoods looking for a beautiful display of lights and song, this is a show you need to see!  Filled with lights, sounds, and special effects, you will be in awe after watching one of the best shows ever delivered by the full orchestra of VPHS.

(November 1, 2013) Orange, CA - The Fred Kelly Stadium provided a beautiful forum as the VPHS Spartans took another victory over Anaheim's Esperanza HS Aztecs last night.  The Marchin' Spartans performed their best rendition of their field show tribute to The Beatles, while seniors were individually honored at the end.  This year, over 30 seniors will be graduating from the Instrumental Music Program, so to support the future growth of the Marchin' Spartans, the music students of Cerro Villa Jr. High were invited to join in the stands as guests to play along.  All of them performed very well, and made the night very special for fans and families who were in attendance.  If you were not able to witness the best performance of the year, take a look at the video recording and it enjoy it over and over and over.  Don't forget to "Like" and "Subscribe" to our Youtube channel.
