September 20, 2012 - Seniors were honored at the Villa Park vs. El Modina football game.  The Spartan marching band performed at halftime to a full crowd, and inspired the team to another victory!!

September 9, 2012 - Villa Park High School celebrates Back to School Night by having the Super band welcome all students and families to the 2012 year.  The band and cheerleaders greeted everyone in the outdoor stage, followed by a time of meet and greet with teachers and faculty during short scheduled visits starting with zero period through the entire school-day schedule.

(September 11, 2012) "Glory, Glory Hallelujah" powerfully rang through the halls of the Nixon Library on Tuesday, September 11, in a moving remembrance of the attacks on the country 11 years ago. U.S Marine Corps Major General Melvin Spiese, Commanding General of the 1st Expeditionary Brigade, highlighted the program as the keynote speaker. The ceremonies also included a presentation of the colors by the U.S. Marine Corps, patriotic musical performances by VIlla Park High School Instrumental Music, Orange HIgh School Vocal Chorale, and a moving bagpipe performance of 'Amazing Grace.'
