TailgatePartyFootball season is here! Please join us at the high school on September 12 from 4 pm to 6 pm for a pre-game Marchin Spartan tailgate party. We'll have barbeques for you to bring and grill your own favorite meat (Please no turkeys...) The Beatty Family will happily donate some hot dogs and buns if you're going to be too rushed to get something, we've got donated sodas and water, and boosters can spring for chips and some side dishes and condiments; so you basically are looking at a free meal!;Obviously this will be a non alcohol party.

The Marchin Spartans will leave on 3 busses for Fred Kelly Field on Major Jay time - at 5:45-6:00 pm with the instrument trailer and some advance boosters to prep the stadium for our group. If any "new" boosters are interested in learning the ropes about and helping prepare and cordon off band & Booster seating, or load/unload instruments, just let us know at the tailgate party. Pretty easy stuff, kind of fun and usually there's plenty of help. Remaining boosters and alumni will follow on a 4th bus (5th bus?) if we get enough tailgate party-ers. Parking at Fred Kelly is difficult, so riding a bus (even a school bus) there can save some stress and it's only about 2 miles. After the game it's back on the bus for a quick exit and then everyone gets back to the school at about the same time. Unload, go home and celebrate another victory for the Band. And the football team too. You'll need: 

Money for a ticket to get in. Hopefully still $8. general admission.
A stadium seat or blanket to sit on. Concrete seats do get hard.
A camera or camcorder. Submit em! We always like pictures and footage, yours might be used on the website!
Some might like earplugs to lower the volume a bit.
A voice to cheer on your Marchin Spartans, and also those guys on the field that fill the time between the Band's songs! 
Got a Booster shirt? Show your pride! Need one? We'll get them!
 
Can't tailgate but will see us there? Boosters sit in the section to the left of the Band as you face the stands. Look for lots of Band Booster shirts and smiles. Come on up and join us!

Give your family's name and the number of bus seats that your group will need. Remember, your "Bando" student will be riding separately with the rest of the Band so don't count that one.

There's no charge for the bus ride but we'll have the donation drum out for anything that you might care to give. Let's go rock the stadium!
